Blueberry pot guild

Exciting changes are ahead for our little family, we have decided that we're going to sell our house and buy acreage! I've been learning about permaculture and at the same time trying to decide which plants in my current garden are staying and which I want to take with me. I would love to have lots of fruit trees so I've been researching fruit tree guilds and food forests, rather than traditional orchards.

Since it will be awhile before we're ready to move I decided I would practice with my potted blueberry. I've added some flower seedlings, a strawberry plant and a spare basil seedling.

So far I have added flower seedlings to any pot that has space, saves me having lots of smaller pots of flowers if they can be combined with my plants in bigger pots.

My raised vegetable garden is in the background, hopefully whoever buys our house will enjoy them! You can see my snap peas just starting to flower, lettuce that's growing great (thankfully with the current price of lettuce) and some alyssum.

Jellyfish Romper and Booties

We're celebrating Christmas this weekend with my side of the family, it should be much nicer than having it in the summer heat! I finished my nieces and nephews presents and since I had fabric leftover I decided to make our daughter a matching outfit.

This Overall Playsuit seems to be my go to pattern, mostly because it's quick and she can crawl and walk in it easier than dresses.  To see what changes I make to this pattern, see this post.

And of course it's cold so I made her another pair of Maggie's Stay On Booties, only this time I lined them with fleece.

Hopefully the kids all like this cool jellyfish fabric from Frankie Bear Fabric!

Reusable Party Spirals

I completely forgot that I made reusable spiral party decorations for our daughter's first birthday party. Hopefully I remember to use them at her next party!

Now I know you can buy these in many different colours, but they're so thin and I was aiming to have as many reusable items as I could so I designed these for 3D printing in 4 different sizes.

If you would like to print your own party decorations I have uploaded the files to Thingiverse.

Boho romper & booties

For some reason I decided that it would be a great idea to make our daughter a romper with matching booties. Each piece is great on their own, but unfortunately it's just too much together! I think I'll make a pair of solid white booties next time.

I used a lovely Victoria woven cotton from Frankie Bear Fabric. The pattern is Maggie's Stay on Booties again with the non slip fabric for the soles.

This is the second time I've made the Boho Romper from Elemeno. First time I made it was when our daughter was just 3 months old, and she quickly outgrew it! Now that she is older I thought she would love the optional pockets. The only thing that I would change is to figure out how to add snaps for quicker nappy changes.
